Synners cruised to another pre season victory over second division side Horden CW. Outclassing them five goals to nil. Horden had the best chance in the opening exchanges, Lyle stuck wide of the left post in the box. But then Synners dominated Jameson set up chances for Richards who forced a save from Blekinson on the first attempt. And he headed over from Jameson cross. Chay Liddle then decided to try his luck striking over from outside the area. Synners did break the deadlock soon after the half hour mark, David Hillerby sent in a looping ball from the left and it was met by Nathan Jameson at the backpost to make 1-0 to the home side. It was two in quick succession when Richards was sent through, he made no mistake firing off the bar and in to make the lead comfortable. The goals were coming fast for Synners and they grabbed another soon after, Danny Lambert was given an easy tap in after Andrew Forster sweeped through from back in a Barcelonaesqe move from the home side. Danny Lambert nearly scored another just before half time, Andrew Burton squared it to him in the area, his first effort struck the post and he couldn’t find the finish on the second firing over after failing to keep his composure.

Synners produced some early second half oppourtunities, substitute Ross Gardener struck over, while Collantine thumped it into the side netting. Synners nearly added a fifth after 70 minute mark, Jaime Blyth sent in a crashing effort from the edge of the area, which stinged the fingertips of the Horden goalkeeper. They was still time in the last ten minutes of Synners to make the win seem enthatic, Shane Henry added to pre season flurry of goals, scoring first from a good Synners move that sent him through in the box to tuck it easily past the Horden keeper. He then secured a fifth for the Synners when he picked up a blocked Selby shot to fire past the Horden CW goalkeeper.

The win meant it was synners third in pre season. Their next game sees Division 2 side Northallerton visit the glamal.
