Something’s got to give in this instalment of Monday night football, West Ham are yet to win on the road, while QPR are yet to give the home crowd a victory to shout about. Both sides haven’t started the season in brilliant form, last time out West Ham relied on Kevin Nolan to rescue them a point at home against Sunderland, whilst QPR suffered a narrow defeat to the hands of AVB’s Spurs. With both mangers desperate to boost their teams morale after they both crashed out of the capital one cup to Reading and Wigan, respectively. This hotly contested London derby, being played in the premier league for the first time this millennia will surely light up sky’s title football show, ‘Monday night football’

Players to watch

Matt Jarvis

Yet to make an impact for the side that forked out ten million for his signature, there will be a certain pressure for the former Wolves winger to perform. Expect, West Ham to utilise Jarvis when attacking QPR, Swansea found similar luck when they took a 5-0 victory at loftus on the opening day.

Bobby Zamora

Facing one of his former clubs yet again, Zamora will be hungry to carry on his good run of goalscoring form, the former Hammers forward, has hit 3 in 4 games this season surpassing his total last season of 2 in 14. Expect Zamora to be a handful for James Collins, who had started the season not particularly in inspired form.
