Brighton play host to Middlesbrough in their eleventh game of the Championship season, top scorer Craig Mackail Smith hopes to return for the Seagulls after being out for the last three with a hamstring injury. It has seemed fitting that Brighton have failed to win the last three without his presence, managing only two goals while he’s been away. The visitors head to the Amex buoyed by the fact they’ve won the last two away games at Preston and Watford, Tony Mowbray had been previously reluctant to leave Scott McDonald out, however he’s come back into the frame after they had long chat which ended with them settling their differences. McDonald repaid the gaffer with a game winning goal at Watford and after it was announced that Lukas Jutkiewicz is once again be out for weeks, it seems that he’ll continue to get a run out. Last time the sides met back in March it needed a goal from Inigo Calderon to level it up after Marvin Emnes had put the visitors ahead.
