The Uefa under 17 championship semi finals get underway in Slovenia tomorrow with Germany meeting Poland and Netherlands playing Georgia. Germany have no doubt been the best side at the tournament winning three out of three in the group stage, including an impressive 3-0 win over France in the final game. The polish will surely have to be more adventurous than they were against Netherlands in their final game, as they played a dull game that was far from the perfect advert for under 17 football. However, with Germany being the favourites to claim the competition this year after falling short in the final last year, the pressure will be on their shoulders, giving Poland the chance to snatch an unlikely victory.

Reigning champions Netherlands on the other hand will have a tough task on their hands of playing an optimistic Georgia side. The former soviet state qualified for the semi finals with a 1-0 win over
Iceland and they fully deserved qualification impressing against Germany then drawing against a French side that had done perfect in the qualifying stages. It will be a difficult ask for Georgia, but they can pray that with Netherlands two draws 0-0 draws on the bounce the goals have maybe dried up for them.
